Hi,You got a nice subject.
Maybe a little light and DOF control would help you or try tighter compose.
And for B&W side.I think with more contrast it might be more interesting or try the full zone from vlack to white try to pull all the details out might be interesting too.
A lot of options here.You are the one who decide.
