once upon a time there was life here ... one wonders what happened ...

we came upon this deserted house on tiny Tumbo Island (a ca. 10 hour sail from Vancouver) - it was locked up, I shot through the window .... the house had a big fruit orchard, signs of a garden, a couple of sheds, a landing area for boats - all is a big mystery as with other houses we have found deserted on more northern islands.
I photographed the two rooms one year earlier:

A! This certainly indicates a robber's invasion,Adele and a search for money!...But, on the other hand, there are also signs of starting some redecoration on the walls...mystery! What the local police is doing? Nice series, Adele

Somehow eery, what was the reason for, what had gone wrong? Many questions, no answers. Those houses seem to be left in a hurry I guess.
In any case this is a most interesting series of photos from you. Also in b&w they would be great.
