Interestingly this was shot in the new botanical gardens that they have in the south michigan avenue area of Chicago which used to be just vast empty and barren fields and empty lots just north of the Art Institute -- it has now been transformed into a Frank Gehry designed concert pavilion, promenade walkway crossing over one of the major streets and this wonderful garden which you can wander in and be at some peace from the noise of the city...
No, this is a "fotocommunity exclusive!" I was using Kodak portra 160 NC as usual (I almost always shoot with that, sometimes I'll use 400 VC in low light conditions, but not very often...)
It makes a nice b/w print also; the buildings merge more with the plant life in b/w, bringing a different sense of unity to the whole affair.
now, this is terrific for its color and its structures. did i miss it on pn? i cannot imagine i forgot to have seen this one. otherwise i have to admit, i am getting old.
what kind of film did you use?
