Crocuses in the Easter snow
Well, not everything is asleep in our garden.
These crocuses came out just before the snow.
Crocuses have been cultivated for more than
3,000 years. Few people know that one of the
costliest substances on earth - saffron - used
mainly as a spice, is gathered from the stigmas
of the saffron crocus (Crocus sativus).
