Dark Mullein
Dark Mullein, also known as Black (°) Mullein, is a rather rare leaf rosette-forming wild plant, native to Europe and Russia.
Grows usually on the banks of a river.
The yellow flowers with purple-red centre are produced from summer to mid autumn on a 1 meter high stem.
1 plant can contain up to 200 flowers !
Dutch name : Zwarte (°) Toorts
German name : Schwarze (°) Königskerze
Latin name : Verbascum nigrum (°)
(°): ‘Black’ in the name refers to the colour of the roots.

Yes, I know this plant with a lot of little yellow flowers. It grows really on the shore of river and it high more than 150 cm.Beautiful presentation of these flowers.
