Es ist das neue Wissenschafts- und Kongreßzentrum, benannt nach dem Element Darmstadtium welches 1994 erstmals hergestellt wurde. Das Land Hessen stellte das Grundstück und die Baukosten von 77 Mill Euro werden von der Wissenschaftsstadt Darmstadt getragen. Integriert sind Teile der alten Stadtbefestigung. Insgesamt sind es 4 ineinander verschachtelte Gebäude.

Today it shelters the Hessian public record office, the town archive and is domicile to the historical association of Hesse.
It is the new scientific- and congress centre, named after the element Darmstadtium, which was produced in 1994 for the first time. The country Hesse allocated the estate und the building costs of 77 mio Euro had been beared by the scientific city Darmstadt. Some parts of the ancient fortification had been integrated . In total there are 4 buildings nested into each other.

    da hätten wir uns am sonntag an dieser scheppen schachtel ja treffen können. das bild gibt einen schönen gesamteindruck.
