More and houses vanish…not long ago this was the town center…
The story behind this demolision is that the big electricity RWE escalates brown coal which is located under this town. In the past many towns have have been torn down…but on the other side RWE gives generous refunds to the former inhabitants. Many of them - not all - then build wonderful new houses somewhere else.

braunkohleabbau – it seems to be turning the world into a swiss cheese, its surface into wasteland… a powerful image, nicely composed with the warning sign in the foreground and the houses in the back facing the barren field in silent reproach: real estate on death row… greetings, sabine.

desolation, sadly boarded up houses and the sign tell a vivid story .... they call it "Fortschritt" ... I wonder ???
