The atmosphere sudden changed from amazing, stunning into frustration. We felt to step in a bad movie when we entered Choibalsan. Panel building and new contracted living factories beside the remains of Russian buildings.
Most of the Mongolian villages and cities aren't in good condition, many ruins and demolished former Russian buildings give a depressive atmosphere to the towns, so in Choibalsan too. The city hall was a former Russian military building and repaired as one of the only Russian houses, the other remain in ruins.
