Downsteps the Mandalay Hill

Two giant Chinthes guard the southern approach to Mandalay Hill.
The Chinthe is a leogryph (lion-like creature) that is often seen at the entrances of pagodas and temples in Burma and other Southeast Asian countries.

This photo was captured during my honeymoon in February 1981 and scanned with my NIKON CoolScan V ED.
It makes me fun to select and scann old photos, this reminds me old memories I made during an amazing trip.
