I can appreciate the image as artwork, and would vote pro on that basis. However, I would like to know what this is. - If you can share w/o giving away your new trade secret. :-)
Is this actual film or slide that you've manipulated, or is this P.S. work on a photograph or scan.
Skip for now, but with the understanding that it is an impressive piece.
Contra - I've come back to this shot many times before making a decision. As a traditionalist, with no experience with this genre of photography, I am trying to be open minded and just let the art speak for itself. I like the colour, framing and composition but its that one stroke across the nose that kills it for me. My eye goes straight to it every time. If the intent was to make the viewer uncomfortable or anxious as Wen says, it worked, but not in a way I can appreciate. Sorry. If I percieved a flaw or didn't like the emotion from a traditional photograph, I would vote the same way.

Magnificent. I wish we drew more artists working in this art form of photography on FC. It's usually not very appreciated here, in a forum that holds traditional photography values very high, but I hope enough people appreciate what you are doing Kieran. There is an uncomfortableness to the picture, it almost gives the viewer an anxious feeling. I'm dying to see your exhibition. Going to be in the US any time soon?

This is not a "classic" photography picture.
I like the technique. I don't like the line over the nose.
The eyes are saying something bad and don't corespond with the lips.
These are my feelings of the pic.
I will come back.
Skip+ at the moment.

I really don't know what to make of this. As art it has its place, as Photography, I am not sure. There does not appear to be too much of a Photograph here, which has to be a starting point, on FC. Just a comment for now, but inclined to Contra.
