Everyone is equal
Take me for who I am.
Accept my flaws and imperfections
my fears and dreams.
Accept the fact that I'm trying to survive
and not be eaten by foolishness,
greed and envy that walk in harmony among the humankind.
I'm really trying to stay alive
Take me for who I am,
not for what I may look like.
For eyes are not reliable
and true richness can't be seen,
but felt
and shared
Sometimes we attend festivities.
Sometimes funerals.
Sometimes I'm disguised as vagabond,
sometimes as god.
Then I realize: both are the same.
Day and Night,
but part of the cosmos.
Written by Ianic Côrtes Santos
Differences are not meant to split,
but to complete
one another.
