We trekked up Vesuvius in the heat for 30 minutes to get to the top and were rewarded by a fabulous view. Then I saw these two ladies and had to take a picture. They both had their legs up on the post but by the time I had found my camera the one on the left had repositioned!

wow, what a view!! on top of the world indeed, presenting their limbs and faces to the sun after they gave jesus (?) a piggyback(pack) ride UP! i'm such an ignorant, but i never knew one could actually trekk up vesuvius – it's a volcano after all, isn't it?? well, i guess if you're "lucky", it will save you the trip back by spitting you right back down into to the parking lot ; ))… great shot, sally! and a real eye-opener for me! hugs, sabine.

What a view - fantastic .... but in this heat all this stretching :-)))) A fun photo - great depth - great light and shadow play.
