Flying underwater...

... looking for some food...

Guillemot à miroir, Black Guillemot, Cepphus grylle

To answer a few questions about this picture, I'll have to transform myself in a tourist agent and tell you about the Biodome of Montreal which is a fantastic simulation of 5 ecosystems, including St-Lawrence Marine ecosystem that can be seen also from underwater with their access to a giant aquarium where you can see many species of fish and even (less frequent) birds that go underwater to get some food. I have to say it's in very difficult conditions, because the light is very low under water, the birds are not frequent and when they are, they move very fast, add to that that you can't use a tripod nor flash, that the birds are black and white (a nightmare for a photograph) and you have to take the picture through dirty windows, with reflections and a lot of people in front of you ;-)) So, I'm very happy about this one !!

Merveilleux nageur aussi, superbe capture au travers d'une vitre ! je me souviens au Canada des ours polaires vus en grand aquarium, nageant avec légèreté et rapidité, c'était fascinant, ciao VS
PS . J'aime aussi beaucoup les bulles !

I'm glad you gave that explanation. When I first saw this, I thought you must have been swimming right alongside the bird. Really nice shot, especially under those circumstances! :))
