My sailor's heart found these boats and the lighthouse especially charming .... part of a very large collection of handmade bird and insect houses along the fence of a house - on my walk around Trout Lake ...

  thank you, Anne-Marie - a good question, and so I googled it, and here is the answerand I have to say WOW: "Birds have exceptionally keen vision. In fact, their ability to see color is far superior to humans' color vision in several ways. While humans have three color-detecting cones in their eyes — to see red, green and blue shades — birds have a fourth cone that enables them to see ultraviolet (UV) light.
