This isn´t the trout pond itself it´s just a settling pond/preflooder to keep out debris and flotsam since trouts´ gills are quite pollution-sensitive. On the North American Pacific coast wild salmon have dramatically deminished due to clear cut wash-out clogging their gills and lethally covering their spawn. But even over here in "The Old Country" western red cedar is recklessly appriciated, so much for that!

Well, Serge, the trout at this time of the year prefer to stay near the 4°C-pond-bottom especially between feeding times.

Wegen Motiv-Feinstruktur musste ich beide "Forellenteich"-Bilder beim "Save for Web" auf Qualität 22 komprimieren, hätte wohl besser mit 300kB hochladen sollen...

Die Spiegelung ist auch hier wieder sehenswert. Am unteren Rand stören mich jedoch die jpg-Kompressionsartefakte ein wenig.
