frozen harbour |16:9 |
The ships lay quiet and fixed at the pier. Some buzzing electric generators keep the ships alive, but there is no move. The next days are expected to warm up, so might be the beginning of the new year also brings new hope for a good catch.

Have a look for the new section!
The aspect ratio of 4:3 or 3:2 is history. Millions of TV´s are sold now as a flat screen with an adapted cinema format of 16:9. Also most of the computer monitors nowadays are constructed as a wide screen, even notebooks.
So, how about cropping or especially compose your photos in the more and more common 16:9 format?
Try it!

Excellent crop...like it .....!!I'm using this format already for a long time to see my own images at the flatscreen TV 1920x1080..
What would you suggest for uploading here.....?
960x540 or perhaps something different....?
Best regards,
F....

a great "northern flair" to this picture! time seems literally "frozen", with the ice rendering the boats motionless and making them rest safely anchored in their harbor spot! greetings, sabine. p.s.: my little olympus is shocked at your 16:9 proposal ; )))))!Lichtbilder - Holger Sauer 01/01/2011 12:06
