giant hogweed beside the River tweed at Norham
Along the River Tweed - which separates England from Scotland - there has long been a problem of an alien, invasive species of plant - the giant hogweed - which grows larger than a man - and which has spread along the banks for many miles. In this picture - the bank had been cleared - but the hogweed is reappearing.
