Girl Mang Ayu in flowerdress
With this portrait photo of a flowers claiming Bidadari girl, this time I finish my series with photos of my last visit to Bali. The next one is already arranged next April. It starts again.
Mang Ayu is a classmate of Gek Adii, whose portrait I have posted several times. Every week, along with the others, they study their dances, the choreography, the traditional make-up, the clothes and also the age of the dancers have remained unadulterated in Bali for many hundreds of years.
Bidadari is the Indonesian expression for an Apsara girl, an angel in the Hindu mythology.
She is wearing the flower dress on her head for the dance called Sekar Jepun the Frangipani flower also known as Plumeria.
