Golden Homestead
Passing storms in the Ghostpine area of Alberta often stop right at the Red Deer river coulee, and pause while the sunset lights them up. This homestead sits in a coulee, tools and implements left sitting right where they were being used, as if the occupants were suddenly whisked away at midday. The lighting is from other heavily tinted clouds overhead, and lens a deep warmth to what otherwise is often a cold and unforgiving landscape.
