Green Visitor
While shooting some flowers in the jungle of Roatan Island in Honduras,
I heard scurrying noises all around. I was surrounded by lizards. On the
ground, numerous small lizards were scurrying about on their hind legs
(memories of "Jurassic Park"!). Later I found out they were "Basiliscus
mobilis" ("Wikey"), a close relative of "Basilicus plumifrons", also called
"Jesus Lizard" because of its ability to walk on water. Far too fast to get
into the camera frame, as was the black hummingbird visiting "my flower".
Anyway, this Green Anole Gecko came as a bonus of this experience!
