Into the Limelight
What I particularly liked about this shot was the lighting. This was taken on December 31st and it was late as they were getting ready to close and the light was going fast and the butterfly's were going to sleep. I thought the way the light was coming from a corner of the building down on him was wonderful, like he was a very special butterfly and was being showcased for me to capture before I left.
This was taken at Butterfly World along with many other butterfly's that I have posted on this site so far. You are not allowed to enter with any kind of tripod or monopod so every shot is hand held. This place has more varieties of butterfly's then anywhere I have ever been. You can and we did spent hours here shooting them and I threw so many away because it was so hard to get them perfect hand held.
This one was taken with a Nikon D-200 camera, with a Nikon Macro 105mm lens, shutter speed of 1/50sec, aperture of F/13, hand held.
