It could have been a lot worse
Professionals at work...
Fairfax County Virginia Fire and Rescue workers have stabilized this SUV, lying on
its side after being hit by a smaller vehicle at a busy intersection yesterday evening.
The jacks and chains kept the vehicle stationary, allowing the driver to be safely removed. Fortunately, there was no fire, and both drivers were able to walk away from their heavily damaged cars, thanks to the prompt response of both Fairfax County Fire and Rescue and Fairfax County Police.
Shortly, the vehicle will be righted back on its wheels, both vehicles towed away, and the busy West Springfield intersection reopened to traffic.
