Juvenile Trumpeter Swan.....
......grooming a little before joining the rest of the family out on the main lake, usually they will take off in family groups and go to area rice and grain fields where a lot of the farmers in the area have set a little patch of grain aside for their visit in November to February 14th when they fly back north, Magness Lake is a state run facility and is the farthest south that trumpeter swans migrate, there are several large feeders, but they are careful not to overfeed them, because it is important that the young learn to forage and the old ones don't get too fat....
