Khao Ta-Pu at Phang Nga 1987
An old slide photo captured in 1988 shows the worldwide famous Khao Phing Kan long time ago. Since 1974, when they were featured in the James Bond movie The Man with the Golden Gun, Khao Phing Kan and Ko Ta Pu have been popularly called James Bond Island.
In the meantime its became a tourist stronghold, thousands longtail boats boarding the beach each season and causes irreparable damage to the beach and the rocks.
The little girl in front my daughter Sylvia at the age of 6 years, now 2004 she is 43.
Photo was captured with a CANON A1 camera and a Kodachrome 64 ASA slide film. Scanned with a Nikon CoolScan V ED.
