Learning to swim, Wallaroo, Sth Australia
Wallaroo, a small coastal town on Northern Yorke Peninsula, is an important grain shipping port, with ships loading from a jetty rather than a wharf, owing to shallow inshore waters. Previously there were copper mines in the hinterland; the smokestack in the distance is a remnant of those past times.
This enclosed area beside the jetty is used for school swimming lessons. Sharks are excluded by netting! February 2004.

Thanks Silke Maria! The dolphins would be excluded by the netting also. I don't recall ever seeing a dolpin except on TV or in the newspaper!Silke Maria Christoph 27/01/2005 8:37
