Lord Shiva promised that everybody who dies in his City and her/his ashes are thrown in Holy Mother Ganga will go straight to Nirvana. Avoiding the sheer endless painstaking rebirths in this vale of tears we call planet earth.
Therefore many old people come to Varanasi to die here.
Poor, rich old Sadhu Baba ji. He has a good chance to go straight to Nirvana.
If you meet him at Meer Ghat or any other ghat at the banks of holy river Ganga please give him some Rupees for the firewood he has to buy when being burned at Marnikarnika Burning Ghat.
This contribution will improve your karma greatly. So that you are not reborne as a mosquito, skunk or cockroach.

sieht great aus your Bild.Und ich werde Deinen Rat folgen, wenn ich dort vorbeikomme.
Andrerseits habe ich schon viele Rupien gespendet, aber never für firewood to be verbrannt.
