Manta ray over coral riff

Every year in April and May, the mighty big fish in the cold water currents are encountered near the island of Tachai. The rays like to frolic on the surface or in the shallow water above the coral bottom. As divers we got very close to them. The Mantas are not shy and obviously have a pleasure to offer us recreational divers their swimming skills, because they always come back to us divers.
The huge creatures with a wingspan of up to seven meters are among the world's largest marine fish. Despite their size, manta rays eat only the smallest creatures of the sea. They have a short tail with no sting and a narrow row of tiny teeth, which they use exclusively for mating.
