Meadow Buttercup

Meadow Buttercup is a familiar and very common member of the meadow and pasture flora of many temperate regions in the world.

It’s toxic and most grazing animals (cattle, horses, sheep) avoid this species because of its bitter, acrid flavour and the blistering of the mouth caused by the poison.

Dutch name : Scherpe boterbloem
German name : Scharfer Hahnenfuss
Latin name : Ranunculus acris
