Methona confusa

Dieses Foto zeigt den Edelfalter Methona confusa und wurde am 29. März 2019 in der Schmetterlingsfarm Steinhude aufgenommen. Die Flügel sind bei dieser Art, mit Ausnahme von einigen schwarzen Bereichen und einigen weißen Flecken, durchsichtig. Aufgrund der Lichtsituation während der Aufnahme und des Hintergrundes wirken sie auf dem Foto gelbgrün. Trotzdem sind der hinterste Teil vom Brustabschnitt und der vordere Hinterleib gut zu erkennen, obwohl sie von einem Flügel verdeckt sind.

Für die korrekte Bestimmung des Falters bedanke ich mich bei fotocommunity-Mitglied bayucca.

Das Originalbild wurde leicht beschnitten. Tiefen und Lichter wurden bearbeitet.



The butterfly shown on the photo is a Giant Glasswing (Methona confusa). The picture was taken in a butterfly farm. The wings of this species are tranparent with the exception of some black areas and a few white spots. On the photo, the transparent areas of the wings appear to be yellow greenish coloured. This is due to the background and the natural light setting at the time the picture was taken. However, the most posterior part of the thorax and the anterior part of the abdomen are still visible on the photo, even though they are covered by a wing.
