'Mild Seven Hill'

The rolling hills around Biei township symbolize Hokkaido with its farms and different lifestyle to the Japanese. In summer they flock here to see hills covered with flowering potato fields, lavender and sunflower fields. The rows of trees to break the wind are great motivs for photographers the year round. The hill in front got its name as it was once used in a comercial for 'Mild Seven' cigarettes.
