@ LockhearInteresting interpretation from your side :-). However, I would never expect this question under your foto but under mine ;-). Furthermore, it still would make no sense for me, since this question would also be already answered, since you wrote your comment on my foto already at 18th of December, while Arin wrote her comment under yours only on 25th of December. Thus, it would be surprising for me. However, I cannot rule out your interpretation ;-). But the ultimate answer can be given only by Arin herself. In case your interpretation is correct and mine is wrong I would realy appologize for my comments on Arin.
To your further question. I would say hypocriticism would be one possibility but there are others as well ;-). Different taste, for example ;-).
Lockhear 29/12/2010 20:01
@Rüdiger:Now i think, there is a misunderstanding. Arin was reffering to MY comment to your picture, it wasn't about YOUR comment to my picture :). We were debating about style of comments here some time ago and now she was teasing me (that's why so many exclamations), that i've written comment to your picture, which is not in "constructive criticism" style (my fault). It wasn't about you :). Other people including me, have similiar criticizing comments to her pictures and she is accepting them. If we are talking about "hypocriticism" (you really enjoy this word, right? :) ) then look at almost any comments here on FC. If some picture is clearly terrible and have 30+ glorifying comments, isn't THIS hypocriticism, Rüdiger?
You still see Arin in bad light. Time to turn on switch ;)
Rüdiger Haeusler 29/12/2010 19:24
@ lockhearJust look at her comment "(what is your comment for Ruediger?!?!?!) " ;-). For me, the number of question/exclamation marks clearly indicates a disapproving of my remark, especially when having in mind your later remark on her ;-). In case this would be just a "real question" (i.e. asking really for the intention of my remark) she certainly would not use such a high number and furthermore the question would be illogic, since it is already answered in my comment she refers to. At least you did understand my comment quite well ;-). As indicated I expressed just my thoughts when seeing your foto. According to her own writing "but I surely can write my thoughts to this picture" this is allowed ;-). So either she should allow (i.e. not expressing her disapproving) anybody to write her/his thoughts but unremarkable what kind of thoughts they are, or she behaves hypocritical because she defines a right but only for her ;-). Or expressed in another way, she decides for all which thoughts may be expressed and which one not (arrogance ;-) ).
P.S. I love this kind of discussions :-).
Lockhear 29/12/2010 18:08
@Rüdiger:"hypocritical or arrrogant remarks" ? Where do you see them? I think you didn't understand Arin very well. She tries to give advices to people and tells them, what is wrong on their pictures. This is not something hypocritical or arrrogant. At least for me.
Rüdiger Haeusler 29/12/2010 16:26
@ lockhearNo worry I take it easy. Just mind the smilies ;-). However, I will most propoably (mainly for my fun) react on hypocritical or arrrogant remarks as the one given by arin :-). Obviously she takes for herself the right to express her "thoughts" but will grumble in case other are doing the same ;-). This is just pure arrogance or hypocritical behaviour ;-). At least taking in mind the number of question/exclamation marks. I would really appreciate to read from her a definition of the term "thoughts" which cover her "thoughts" but not mine ;-).
Lockhear 28/12/2010 21:15
@Rüdiger Haeusler:Take it easy, Rüdiger :). Me and Arin share the the same opinion about publishing pictures here. FC should be server, where people LEARN how to take pictures in better ways, and this can be done effectively via constructive critics. But a lot of people here think that this server is only storage for holiday photos and DO NOT want to hear, how can they improve their skills. Only think they care about is how many "WOW, GREAT, AMAZING" comments they obtain. If someone write something what they do not like, is immediately marked as public enemy No. 1. :)
So me and Arin are public enemies No. 1 and No. 2.
Rüdiger Haeusler 28/12/2010 14:46
Hello Arin,What is your comment about my comment for ;-) ?
Is it not allowed to write ones thoughts about a picture? So then why are you allowed to write your thoughts ;-) ?
I just did the same as you. Seeing this foto of Lockhear here was quite surprising for me, since obviously we made fotos staying at the same bank in the Clinton. Would you know where this bank is, you would be surprised as well I'm quite sure ;-). So my comment was just for expressing my surprise about this foto. Nothing more, nothing less. Do I have your permission for doing this ;-) ?
Sorry Lockhear for the above, but you are right the atmosphere is some kind of magic :-)
Arin 25/12/2010 6:22
Love it, I haven't been there yet but I surely can write my thoughts to this picture (what is your comment for Ruediger?!?!?!)I like the atmosphere, the colours and the perfect light. I would not get wet feet just to have another centre - the composition is already wonderful and absolutely harmonic!
Annett;)

i like this westcoast rainforest shot, it´s so lush. i probably would have taken a few steps to the right for that shot to achieve a different "centre".Rüdiger Haeusler 18/12/2010 13:55
Hello Lockhear,This picture reminds me on mine which I uploaded September 3, 2006 :-). I guess we stood on the same bank in the Clinton :-). (Sorry I can only refer to the picture and not link it)
