Ein gewisser Dan Montano hat vor ein paar Jahren eine Weisheit geäußert (hier in Englisch zitiert), die insbesondere von Anhängern der freien Marktwirtschaft sehr hochgehalten wird.

Das ist natürlich Quatsch, weil auch die Gazelle nur schneller als die langsamste Gazelle sein muss ... Was meint ihr?

The following words of wisdom by a certain Dan Montano are particularly appreciated by the disciples of the free market economy.

Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning a lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will starve to death.
It doesn’t matter whether you are a lion or a gazelle: when the sun comes up, you’d better be running.

Of course, this is nonsense because the gazelle also just needs to outrun the slowest gazelle ... What do you think?
