Opposite of the holy mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh stands the proud construction of the National Assembly of Vietnam.
The National Assembly consisted of 500 elected deputies. Formerly, despite its many formal duties, the National Assembly existed mainly as a legislative arm of the Political Bureau (Politburo) of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
