New Photo Workshop im Stasi Gefängnis Berlin Hohenschönhausen

Die Verhörzimmer des Stasi-Gefängnisses in Berlin Hohenschönhausen sind die Realität gewordene Fantasie Franz Kafkas. Deutsche Gemütlichkeit, Gründlichkeit und Abgründigkeit.

Du wirst den Ort erst historisch erforschen und lernen, warum das Interieur Teil der psychologischen Folter für politische Häftlinge war. Eine Woche später wirst du einen ganzen Tag mit einer Sondergenehmigung in den originalen Räumen photographieren können. Neben der Technik der Lichtmalerei werden auch spezielle Blitztechniken vermittelt. Eine umfassende Auswertung der Ergebnisse findet am dritten Termin statt.

Der Workshop ist in 3 Tage gegliedert:

25.11.2012 12:00-14:00 Führung im Stasi-Gefängnis. Du bekommst den geschichtlichen Hintergrund und machst dir einen ersten Eindruck und Skizzen.

02.12.2012 12:00-17:00 Du kannst uneingeschränkt in den original erhaltenen Verhörzimmern, auch unter Benutzung von Stativ und Beuchtung, fotografieren.

09.12. 2012 12:00-16:00 Auswertung der Ergebnisse

The interrogation rooms inside the Stasi-remand-prison in Berlin Hohenschönhausen . The originally conserved rooms even smell like German orderliness. You will learn that even the coziness of the interior was part of the psychlogical tourture against political prisoners.

On date one you will descover the history of the place and be able to make first (photographic) sketches. On the second date you can shoot with a special photographic permission a whole day inside the originally preserved site. Additionally to the technique of light painting you get introduced in special techniques of using flashlight. A comrehensive interpretation of the archieved results is scheduled for date three.

This is the consequence of the last workshop at the Stasi-Headquarter this August, nevertheless no problem for newcomers. (german/english)

The workshop schedule:

November 25th 2012 12:00-14:00 Guided tour through the Stasi-remand-prison. You will get an historic background and the possibility to get an impression of the location to make sketches for the next week.

December 2nd 2012 12:00-17:00 You can photograph with tripod and light equipment the whole day in the original conserved interrogation rooms.

December 9th 2012 12:00-16:00 Interpretation of the results
