No Hurry to Order on a Day Like This...
...a Granville Island Moment
It was taken in 1999, on an inviting sunshiny September afternoon in Vancouver, British Columbia, yet I feel
there is something truly timeless about this moment, for who wouldn't want to luxuriate by a window with a view,
in a restaurant by the water, while taking in the sunlit scene outside. Surely, selecting an entree can wait...
Something else, both timeless and timely, is that the moment was captured on Ektachrome
slide film, which Kodak Alaris recently announced it would once again start producing.
The image has its first presentation, therapeutically enough for its
photographer, on an unusually chilly and damp day in early spring.
