Old Brick + High Tech - A Southwark Impression
The trappings of communications technology provide a graphic counterpoint
to the Dickensian aura of old dark brick in the London Borough of Southwark.
And somehow I can not help thinking of wily Dickensian street urchins dining on a thin gruel,
when shooting along the character-rich streets of London's Borough of Southwark and
taking in the architectural landscape - The Shard (*), of course, excluded ;-)
But one thing is for certain - today, they'd be wolfing down said thin gruel while viewing
"Oliver" streaming forth via the satellite dish onto a wide-screen flat panel monitor...
or, at very least, on a low-tech telly connected to that old roof antenna ;-)
