oOPS!....................
....its was saturday night, ( 11pm, give or take, ), My wife came and set right across from me while I was watching National Geographic,..she calmy asked for my attention,..I looked at her and acknowledged her,...She looked at me,..and with much finess asked me how I would feel about another child, I looked at her, and thinking at the speed of light,...seeking for the right answer,..." Do we have a choice????",...she softly answered,.." no. "
" Well,..", I replied, " we just roll with it,.." and I just sighed.
Im sure we can find a nice warm spot for this other little one.
:)

thank you very much for sharing this with us Martina,...I read this to my wife while she entertained Matthew,...both her and I were moved by such thoughtful advice and experience you obviously both you and your husband have had with your own little bundles of joy,....:)
I have to admit,..and I speak for both of us,...we have spent some sleepless nights pondering over the great task that lays ahead of us,....as an example, though maybe small in compare to the greater challenges...this morning on my way to work I was thinking,..."hmmm?, how are we going to manage on the day that Rebecca goes on delivery,...( and Im thinking about how this will be an impact for Matthew as to not be able to see his moms for a couple a days,..he will have to sleep with the grandparents ), this is just one of many thoughts that ponder over my mind....and Im sure that my wife has had many up to now....
...and like I said,...this sceanario is just a small one compared to others...:)
you spoke about rythem and communcation,...and yes we have to start now for our new " game-plan " for our soon to be bigger family...
as for now,...we have begun to talk to the baby ( new one ) and are making matthew part of this journey. Im very sure that sometime in the future,..Matthew and his future sibiling will bring us even more smiles and warmth to our heart just like Matthew has done for us at present.
Once again Martina,...muchas gracias de todo corazon!

Uuuuuuugh :O) - so, first, congratulations!!It´s a present to have children.
As you know I have three and I don´t want to miss any of them! :O)
(perhaps you may ask me these question again after a looooong, loooong day with very, very active kids ;O) - probably the answer will be a little bit different *smile*)
Silas was exactly 1 year old as I made the pregnancy-test - positive and "announcing" his little sister being on her way... ;O)
So, Raul, the first time with these very young babies will be sometimes quiet difficult and "pooooooh".
Some days Mat (my husband) and I just fell into bed, just saying "never again" ;O) and falling into sleep before saying goodnight to eachother :O)))))).
And - very often you might think of missing some extrahands and arms like a "shiva" ;O))))) - but - after some very "workful" first six months (to catch up the completly new situation and to fix a new rhythm and communication) - it worked better.
Our "eyerings" (I suppose that this is not the right english word for it) changed from darkblack into darkgrey ;O). After one year there were still rings under our eyes - but "normal" coloured (I´ve never seen parents with young babies without looking "tired 24h" ;O)).
And nowadays they are still there - but we got used to it :O).
So, to come to an end, enjoy it!!
It is wonderful to have kids with a smaller "timeperiod" between their birthdates. My first two children really love eachother (20 months between them) and they are best friends.
Of course not all the time :O) - but they kiss and hug eachother very often. At last, I´m just happy with these constellation, at first I was "shocked" like you :O).
All the best for you!
Greetings,
Martina
