Orangutan, Just Hanging Out
This was as shot, no changes were done and I know the top right corner could be better, but I tried cropping it out but it ruined the shot and the look of him. He was partly hanging from one arm and leaning into it, I loved the expression on his face while he watched us. This shot was taken after they were talked to by the care taker for begging and they all were pouting, LOL
Taken with a Nikon D-200 camera, a Nikon 80-400 mm lens at at focal length of 400 mm, shutter speed 1/13 sec, aperture F/13, with a tripod.

It is a great shot, but I would have liked it in a vertical crop closer on the face (keeping part of the arm in view) to keep the POV tight on that great expression. Lovely shot though, and of course, a wonderful subject!BRYAN CRUTE 21/01/2007 15:50
