The grey buildings are what is now the Arts Centre Jaime.... the original Univeristy in Christchurch where Ernest Rutherford attended..amongst other notables.Jaime Crystal Attenborough 08/10/2005 15:00
i think its quite a great photo, love the contrast between the beautiful aqua fountain and the lovely old grey buildings.jaime :)

That's sooo gorgeous :-) You know that is the original colour that the fountain was painted in the early 1900's... when they re erected it in the botanical gardens they kept it true to what it was. many people complained as they thought it didn't fit in.... i think it's beautiful :-)http://www.ccc.govt.nz/Parks/BotanicGardens/infosheets_the_return_of_an_icon_the_peacock_fountain.asp
