Pemangku priest in Pura Lahu Batukau
The pemangku is the most common priest available in villages. He can handle most religious duties such as conducting blessings and leading small religious ceremonies. At a temple, a pemangku is often seen in full-white clothing from head to toe. He takes care of religious matters and ceremonies in the effort to keep the harmonious natural balance between what the Balinese call Bhuana Alit (the microcosm of the visible world) and Bhuana Agung (the macrocosm of the unseen world and the rest of the universe).
