Pla Buek the Mekong giant catfish

The Mekong giant catfish, Pangasianodon gigas or pla buek (huge fish) in Thai, can grow up to three metres long and weigh up to more than 300 kilograms.
The huge fish is rare and nearly gone to become extinct although some restaurants beside the Mekong river still offer the fish in their menus.
