Port of Baltimore - A View from Canton
In this wide-angle perspective, from a pier in Canton, the N.S. Savannah
and a smaller craft frame the expansive Baltimore Outer Harbor.
In the middle distance, the blue gantry cranes of the Seagirt Marine Terminal
handle containerized freight shipments; and on the horizon, the Francis Scott
Key Bridge rises high above the broad Patapsco River as it carries I-695,
the Baltimore Beltway, on its Outer Harbor crossing.
This image is available in archival gallery prints and in a set of custom
printed Photo Note Cards depicting various aspects of the Port of Baltimore.

i like this very much! and that's a great compliment because harbor pictures completely devoid of all fauna ; )) usually bore me to death. but yours here is so well composed and balanced with the two boats, laurel and hardy ; ), facing each other and the blue water, blue sky and blue crane in between. at the same time it's very dynamic, too, due to the wide-angle perspective and the humongous hardy, aka n.s. savannah ; ), reaching daringly in from the right. did you know, by the way, that she is even flirting with the camera? she has a face, you know, and is presently fluttering her eyelashes (twin screws? anchors?? whatever they are) at us! not so devoid of life after all, your baltimore harbor shot! ; )) greeting, sabine.FlugWerk 19/03/2013 7:27
