Red Twin's [De]light on Wintery Road to Bremen

Full title: Red Twins (the red break lights) on freezing cold L153 (taken in southside of Worpswede) southbound towards Bremen.

Where? Worpswede, Germany

When? December 2010

Why is it special? Expressions of color, life & action (despite the late night & freezing temperatures) on this road (to Bremen) make my photo very special. The long exposure time helped me liberate light from all possible sources, even the apparent blackness of the dark night sky. Furthermore, it allowed colors, like car break lights, to flow across the picture. Despite the bitter cold, it was fun making this photo: most drivers though I was a traffic cop (on a speed trap) or just plain crazy …


Re-edited? Yes, esp. with d-lighting (in my NIKON D40X), then (off-camera) in Google's simple but effective Picasa (saturation boosted). That's it.
