      I feel compelled to vindicate these guys...
      ...when you take the upright picture "out of cam" onto a Win10 computer it will be displayed upright in the mediaplayer although it isn't obviously.
      You always have to rework pictures in an adequate program in order to get them in the right way. Maybe it is a Canon phenomenon...
