Schwyzerörgeli
This is Sepp Mühlhauser with his trio, performing as part of the 2011 InterFolk Festival in the Swiss Alps.
Sepp’s instrument is uniquely Swiss and aptly named Schwyzerörgeli.
As the snow swirled outside our cozy venue atop First, a peak towering above Grindelwald at 7,110 feet/2,167 meters,
Sepp and his trio were playing some infectious Swiss folk music, but, as I recall, this particular image was made as he
delighted us with some American jazz in a style reminiscent of Django Reinhart.
