Hi Jon,
thanks for your reply.
Your last sentence: "it is meerly a portrayal of a lifestyle: a statement of urban youth.", mean some message and you want to say something.
Sorry if I will go to your "mind".
I would take as the main focus of that photo (little bit more sharp) and add portrait of a young urban youth as a background. Transfer the photo to monochrome with noise.
It could come up as very interesting "social" photo.
What do you think?
Regards
Roberto
what am i trying to say? a question that millions have pondered over for centuries....
Because i am a nice guy i wil let you in.... the photo is not atempting to say anything....it is meerly a portrayal of a lifestyle: a statement of urban youth.
Jon,
the question is what do you like to say with this photo...?
smoking is good....
or smoking is terrible...?
What I see does not push me to buy them...but does not stop me to smoke....
I like the idea, but I think it would have been a stronger image if you had used a really narrow depth of field so that some of the cigarettes were pin sharp, and then the others were really blurry.
