SIAMESE ILLUSION
Hard to explain this photo. It was taken on Jungle Island in Miami, Florida,
in an aquarium with a number of alligators. Because of the high temperature,
the animals were resting (what else do alligators do, anyway?). This one is
a single alligator, but seen from the aquarium below, the reflection from the
water surface made it appear as if it was a "Siamese Alligator". I id not even
notice the reverse reflection on the right, which originates from a window
above the pool and, surprisingly enough, also projects the single alligator
with its reflection from above. I was amazed by this uncommon visual effect!
