did you ever read carson mccullers's "the member of the wedding"? it has a scene in it, where on a whim the 12-year old heroine enters a bar called the "blue moon", a strange semi-surreal place described like an underwater world, where grown people, mostly sailors hang out… in a way this image reminds me of it: the place seen through frankies eyes, when hesitating on the doorstep before stepping inside… very abstractly powerful! greetigs, sabine. p.s.: just in case: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Member_of_the_WeddingM.Anderson 16/02/2013 12:09
