South Baltimore Summer Sunset
M&T Bank Ravens Stadium on the south side of Baltimore provides a violet hued
counterpoint to the warm post sunset colors at the end of this late summer day.
I find South Baltimore an exciting shooting venue, especially when I’m thinking
tele-compressed city scapes, because of the make-up of its neighborhoods.
My Tamron SP 60-300mm manual focus zoom lens, set to its longest
focal length on my Canon EOS-40D, for a 35mm equivalent of 480mm,
allowed me to capture the South Baltimore mix of residential and commercial
areas that exist cheek-by-jowl with railroad tracks serving as a gleaming and
serpentine artery. Speaking of “arteries,” if you look carefully you can also
see a signage tower for one of the highways leading into the city.
