Taken with a Nikon D-100, using a Nikon 28-70mm lense at a focal length of 65mm, F/8.0, shutter speed of 1/2 sec, with a tripod.
I had taken another shot of tbis snake sometime ago and he was just a little soft, I was determined to get one better so I went back out to try again. I think this one is a lot better, and I used a different aperture this time to get more depth of field.
This green snake I found out is an "East African Green Mamba" one of the fastest snakes in the world, and I am glad he was behind glass.

Hello Kathleen, yes it is wise to stay we away from the
Black or Green Mamba's, fast as lightning and highly poisonous venom.
A brilliant shot however, I love snakes and this is a beautiful specimen.
    Love it.
    Thanks for the sweet comments.
    Best wishes from Australia.

    Outback John.

Kay, this is as I shot it, it was not cropped. I did take a lot of shots of this green snake, but I felt this was the best of the best.
